DND Choose Russia For The Heavy Lift Helicopter Acquisition Project Of Philippine Air Force

Remember last March of this year, the Philippine Embassy in Russia reported that The Department of National Defense (DND) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) officials are inspected aircraft plant and training center in Moscow, Russia in connection with the planned acquisition of Mi-171 heavy lift helicopters for Philippine Air Force.

Finally according to the reliable news source. It was said that The Notice of Award (NOA) for Philippine Air Force Heavy Lift Helicopter Acquisition Project was reportedly released by The Department of National Defense (DND).

According to the reliable news source, The Notice of Award was released “in favor of the Russian government with the deal amounting  Php 12.797 billion pesos, that will involve the supply of the Mil Mi-171 helicopter.”

As it was mention by the reliable source. It was said that the contract is expected to be signed soon.”

In line with the reported award, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) has approved and released a Special Allotment Release Order (SARO) worth Php 1,919,626,490.00.

In order to cover the funding requirements for the fifteen percent of the Advance Payment for the Heavy Lift Helicopter Acquisition Project of the Philippine Air Force, under the Revised Armed Forces of the Philippines Modernization Program.” Said by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) regarding the purpose of the Special Allotment Release Order (SARO).
