Two Units of 94 Meter Vessel of Philippine Coast Guard Has Started

Remember the Philippines Multi-Role Response Vessels (MRRV) acquisition for the Philippine Coast Guard?

Recently the PCG showed a CGI design of the said MRRV Vessel last July this year, and which the Project awarded through a NOA (Notice of Award) on January 17, 2020,in favor of Mitsubishi Shipbuilding. The said Acquisition Project is worth of PHP 7 Billion pesos for the two units of Multi-Role Response Vessels.

And today in December of this year. A ceremony for the construction of both MRRV, has finally started.

Through a tradition of safe building ceremonies led by the Japan International Cooperation Agency,  the building of the said two 94 meters Multi-Role Response Vessels of the Philippine Coast Guard is now underway.

The Two Multi-Role Response Vessels, has a maximum speed of not less than 24 knots, which can last a distance of 4,000 nautical miles. The two ships are loaded with secured communication surveillance systems for Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) surveillance, helideck and hangar for helicopter operations, underwater remotely operated vehicles for subsurface search and survey, and most importantly they have high-speed rubber boats. which can greatly help with various types of operations.

Corvette Acquisition Project of The Philippines Talks Started

Remember The Corvette acquisition Project of the Philippines?

According to the latest news we have gathered, The talks are now started regarding the country's corvette acquisition program, and even the upgrade of the Philippine air force's fa-50 fighter jets is underway.

Such talks took place recently at an online conference on bilateral defense logistics cooperation.

According to the Department of National Defense (DND) The 23rd Joint Committee Meeting (JCM) on Logistics and Defense Industry Cooperation between the Philippines and the Republic of Korea held on December 9, aims to promote the mutual interest of the Philippines and South Korea in the fields of logistics and defense industry.

The South Korean defense contractors have been supplying military equipment to the Philippines in recent years. which includes Hyundai Heavy Industries that produced two frigates for the Philippine Navy for Php 16 billion. and a dozen light fighter jets of the Philippine Air Force were obtained from Korea Aerospace Industries for Php 18.9 billion.

The DND has yet to announce the chosen shipbuilder for the Philippine Navy’s future corvettes, but South Korea’s HHI is considered as one of the potential suppliers.

Other issues discussed during the conference included South Korea’s security policy on defense science and technology.

Philippines Will Have Multirole Fighter Aircraft At The End Of Duterte's Term

What happen to the Multi Role Fighter Jets planning to acquire by the Philippine Air Force?. 

Remember that it was announced many times that the country will buy Multi Role Fighter Jets but for now, it remains that there is no confirmed news of what and when the Philippines will have it.

If you remember, only two remaining qualifiers were selected as Multi Role Fighter Jets by the country.

This is the JAS39 Gripen of Sweden and F16 Block 70/72 Viper of the United States.

According to the latest news, the Philippines is expected to realize the hoped-for Multi Role Fighter Jets after the year 2022. This is expected at the end of the term of our beloved President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

The said news regarding the country's MRF Acquisition Project came directly from the chief of the Armed Forces of The Philippines, AFP Chief General Gilbert Gapay. this is what he answered in the meeting when ask question about the MRF.

The country's MRF Acquisition Agreement is one of the big tickets of the Administration which was started in April of 2019. It is included in the Revised Armed Forces Of The Philippine Modernization Program Phase 2. and the said Project worth is staggering $ 1.18 billion, for a dozen or more MRF units. Which only 2 remaining qualifiers, are entered into the final stage of selection, This are the JAS39 Gripen made in Sweden and the f16 Block 70/72 Viper of the United States.

According to a newspaper that is a well-known critic of the current administration. It is said that the MRF made in the United States has more potential than its rival made in Sweden.

This was after US Air Force Secretary Barbara Barrett arrived in the country last November. it was said that the f16 block 70  Viper has more advantage to be selected, according to the official when ask by the said newspaper.

1 Of The 2 Hercules Acquired from United States Will Arrive in The Philippines Within A Few Days

Outgoing US President Donald Trump handed over a Php1.38 billion worth of military equipment. According to a national official, this shows that its warm alliance is still going on between the two countries.

Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller of the United States announced the recent transfer of available defense gear which includes the following: sniper rifle, helmet, bomb suit, metal detector and scope.

The announcement took place during a meeting between Philippine  Defense Secretary, who is none other than Secretary Delfin Lorenzana and Secretary of Foreign Affairs Teodoro Locsin Jr.

at the Villamor Air Base province of Pasay this December a eight.

The new equipment transferred this December 2, are expected to provide additional strength to the special operations mission units of the Philippine armed forces, in the field of joint precision strike, sniper, riverine, and counter-improvised explosive device capabilities.

The US Acting Secretary of Defense also told our Secretary of Defense that the first of the two fixed C-130 heavy-lift aircraft taken by the Philippine Air Force will be delivered on December 17.

The Philippine defense department described the aid package as "a symbol of the Philippines and the United States continuing its warm alliances."

Despite the many criticisms of the outgoing president of the United Stat, Trump, he was able to provide assistance to tghe Philippines before he left office. We can say that his feelings are truly connected to our country, despite the left-right propaganda that has been thrown at him, and there is still time to make the opponents of their party cry.

Philippines To Purchase 16 Additional Blackhawk Helicopters From Poland

Remember that the Philippines acquired 16 units of Black Hawk Helicopter, of which the first batch of 6 units has already been delivered to the acceptance, blessing and turnover on December 10 of this year. While the remaining 10 units are expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2021.

According to the country's Defense Secretary who is none other than Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, the Philippines can get another 16 units of Blackhawk helicopters.

Philippine Air Force Chief General Lieutenant Allen Paredes also said that the reason they chose Blackhawk is that it has a bigger advantage over the air force if they only use one type of helicopter in terms of maintenance and training.

The Department also noticed that it can help a lot when it comes to various fields of combat and rescue, cargoes and personnel transport, medical evacuation and many others.

The said type of helicopter acquired by the Philippines in Poland is a more advanced variant of the Blackhawk combat utility helicopter than its predecessors. Apart from being able to carry a large cargo unlike the helicopter we have today, it can also reach farther, and not only that, it also has the ability to fly and land even in the dark. in short it sees in the dark.

The secretary also mention that the acquisition of the S70i Blackhawk from Poland was more frugal than its previous transaction with the Canada bell 412 helicopter. The Six Philippine Blackhawk Helicopter Are Ready to be Baptized

Do you know that the 6 of 16 units Sikorsky S70i Black Hawk helicopters, who recently arrived in the country, are ready to be baptized?

The said baptism, will be attended by none other than the secretary of the national defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, as a guest of honor, where he will preside with high officials, and other military leaders, for the acceptance and blessing of the said blackhawk helicopters, of the Philippine Air Force.

It is expected to be held on Thursday, December 10, this year, at Clark Air Base in Floridablanca, Pampanga.

This is the third time the country has won a big ticket, under the Armed Forces of the Philippines Modernization Program, which is started by acquiring a squadron of new FA-50 fighter jets from South Korea and will be seconded with the arrival, of modern ships just like BRP Jose Rizal and also, even the coast guard who was blessed by BRP Gabriela Silang.

Apart from that, let us not forget the six pieces of Super Tucano made in Brazil that were also recently delivered and completed on October 14 of the same year.

Five of the Black Hawk helicopters, ordered from Poland, arrived in the country last month aboard the Antonov An-124 transport plane, while the other 1 of the total six of the first batches, arrived aboard the ship, after a few weeks of sailing.

The remaining ten units are expected to be delivered within the 1st quarter of this year.

The total contract for the said 16 units of Blackhawk Helicopter is worth a staggering $ 241,461,699.

BRP Antonio Luna Now in Its Second Phase of Sea Trial

What happen to BRP Antonio Luna?, the brother of BRP Jose Rizal. How is it and what is the development of its delivery in the Philippines.

BRP Antonio Luna was launched on November 8, 2019 at the Ulsan facility of South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries. Its keel-laying was held on May 23, 2019, in conjunction with the launch of BRP Jose Rizal.

The contract for the manufacture of the said two Missile Frigates of the country is worth a whopping Php16 billion which also includes Php2 billion for the installation system, weapons and ammunition.

According to the Philippine News Agency, Missile Frigate BRP Antonio Luna will undergo a test for its communications system as part of the second sea acceptance trials.

The trial will be held in the ocean of Ulsan, South Korea, this coming December 7 to 11 of the current year.

This stage will ensure that the ship's communications system is reliable in a wide variety of marine situations.

According to the Philippine Navy spokesman, the first sea trials, which were held from November 30 to December 4, produced satisfactory results. and from this, more tests or systems tests or trials are expected to be conducted in the coming weeks.

Earlier, Philippine Navy chief Vice Admiral Giovanni Carlo Bacordo said that BRP Antonio Luna would be delivered this October if not for the Covid-19 pandemic.

Now that we know where is the BRP Antonio Luna we will expect that brp antonio luna will also arrive in the first quarter of the year 2021 .. This is when he will finish his dedicated tests that are needed.

And after it is delivered, the said ships made in south korea will give more strength to the country's navy.

Philippine Coast Guard Show of its Excellence in Different Types of Operations

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has demonstrated excellence in anti-terrorism operations, responding to ship fire incidents, and launching search and rescue (SAR) and aeromedical evacuation during the capability demonstration held in Manila Bay on December 3, 2020.

Department of Transportation - Philippines (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade led the activity. This took place after his formal inauguration as a member of the PCG Auxiliary Executive Squadron.

According to the DOTR Secretary, "The Philippine Coast Guard is different now and I know and I can feel that it is because of your patriotism, compassion, and fear of God that you are able to perform far and beyond what is expected of you,"

"PCG - Patriotism, Compassion, God-fearing. This is the Philippine Coast Guard that I want to join. This is the reason why we are here now," the Secretary added.

Secretary Tugade also did not miss this day to personally recognize and thank the brave Coast Guard rescuers who gave their lives to ensure the safety of Filipinos who have been victims of past disasters.

The Philippine Coast Guard Through BRP Lapu-Lapu, Transported 125 Units Fiberglass Boats And Equipment

Through BRP Lapu-Lapu (MMOV-5001), The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), has transported safely 125 units fiberglass boats, 125 units of stainless shafting, and 42 units of 7.5HP  marine diesel engine from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Region VIII in Leyte to the Bicol region as of yesterday, 04 December 2020. 

The supplies were received by BFAR Region V and were immediately distributed to local fishers who lost their boats and gear in the midst of the Super Typhoon Rolly onslaught. 

The CCP is working hand in hand with the BFAR to provide the support needed for the most affected families in the Bicol area, especially those who depend solely on fishing as a source of income, for their rapid recovery and rehabilitation.

Philippine Air Force Acquired a total of 57 Engineering Equipment

The Philippine Air Force conducted a Blessing Ceremony of PAF Aviation Engineering Equipment (PAFAEE) in Basa Air Base, Pampanga on December 2, 2020 with the Commanding General, PAF LTGEN ALLEN T PAREDES PAF as the Guest of Honor.

According to the  PAF Aviation Engineering Equipment, A total of 57 equipment composed of nine (9) trucks; four (4) hydrostatic bulldozers; one (1) compact backhoe loader; six (6) equipment haulers; eight (8) self-loading mixers; 12 excavators; and, 17 road rollers were blessed and will be utilized for all pavement projects of the 355th Aviation Engineer Wing (AEW).

The said equipment is part of the PAFAEE acquisition projects. Upon the completion of the acquisition of projects, PAFAEE is expected to close the 355th AEW's identified capability gaps in all stages of construction which covers surveying, design, area preparation, construction proper, rehabilitation and demolition of structures, and mission essential support equipment in order to sustainably perform the three (3) core functions which include the general engineering, engineering service during Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response and providing combat aviation engineering support in times of conflict.

All of these equipment including the previous acquisition projects of the PAFAEE will be distributed and permanently deployed to the different PAF major installations once the reorganization is conceived.

The reorganization highlights the placing of eight (8) PAF Civil Engineer Squadrons all over the country under the administrative control of 355th AEW.

Meanwhile, the Wing Commander of 355th Aviation Engineer Wing, BGEN GEORGE A BLANCO PAF, selected HPAF Staff, and other senior Officers were also present in said activity.

Rest assured that the PAF will continuously provide general engineering services and contribute to the National Development programs of the Government.

Armed Forces Of The Philippines Successfully Completed Its Rehearsals For The Joint Interoperability Exercises

On Sunday of November 29 at Zambales in San Antonio. The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) conduct its rehearsals for the Joint Interoperability Exercises (JIOE)  and it was successfully completed this December 1. 

The exercises are part of the 4th edition of the AFP Joint Exercise (AJEX) DAGIT-PA, which addresses capability development in maritime security and amphibious operations. 

The events aim to conduct joint operations integrating marine, conventional air and land forces in joint operational environments.

The scenarios call upon participating forces to carry out joint fire with close air support and air attack, joint land and maritime movements and manoeuvres, joint force protection and joint sustainment.

Among completed exercises were Target Acquisition of HERMES 450 from Basa Air Base to San Antonio, Zambales; Simulated Naval Surface Fire Support; Helideck Operations; Joint Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance; Recovery of AW109 aircraft; Over the Beach Operations; Hydro Reconnaissance; Underwater Mine Clearing; Obstacle Breaching; Simulated Air Strike; Amphibious Assault Vehicles Launch; Ship to Objective Maneuvers; and Ship to Shore Maneuver.

The amphibious landing and defense exercises of the island are currently taking place in San Antonio, Zambales today, December.
