The First Ever Jungle Warfare and Mountain Operation Course

This coming from 11th Division "Mastal" facebook page. The first ever Jungle Warfare and Mountain Operations Course, conducted by the 11th Division (MASTAL) Training School (11DTS) in the Province of Sulu finally culminates last October 7, 2020 with BRIGADIER GENERAL WILLIAM N GONZALES, PHILIPPINE ARMY, Commander, 11th Infantry (ALAKDAN) Division and Joint Task Force Sulu as the Keynote Speaker.  

The students of JWMOC Class 01-2020 (SIDLAHI) are the recent graduates of Candidate Soldier Course (CSC) Classes 638 (SIDLAK) and 639-2020 (GAMBALAHI) who graduated last July 17, 2020.

As an exhibition of what they had learned throughout the course, select members of the class, presented a squad capability demonstration. highlighting the capabilities of an infantry squad, specially during combat operations.

For his part, BRIGADIER GENERAL GONZALES lauded the efforts of 11DTS, headed by COLONEL WENDELL J BASAT FA (GSC) PHILIPPINE ARMY, for doing a splendid job in training the JWMOC students.  He then reminded the new graduates that their training will not end with JWMOC but will still continue wherever they will be deployed.  As such, he urged every member of the class to stay true to the knowledge, skills and attitude imparted upon them by 11DTS.

Before the Closing Ceremony, BRIGADIER GENERAL GONZALES also led the unveiling of the MASTAL View Deck, which was the graduating class’ project. as a symbol of their gratitude to 11DTS, for their almost eight months of training.
